Burn Care

The German Hospital Burn Care Centre (C.E.P.A.Q.) was created at the same time as the Fortunato Benaim Foundation to meet the demands made in the world to treat burns. The new resources have made it possible to save the lives of patients with serious burns, something which was unthinkable in the past.

It is necessary to rely on the coordinated work of several specialists to treat these patients: physicians, surgeons, psychologists, kinesiologists, nutritionists, nurses, and surgical assistants

Facilities and special equipment are also of the utmost importance to ensure that the professionals have adequate resources:

  • Operating table especially designed to care for burnt patients. Powered bed systems designed to lift and lower patients and to make care and cures easier.
  • Mechanic system to move patients into the Operating Room or the Hydrotherapy Room.
  • Peripheral hall for visitors to see patients through the room windows and speak to them on the phone, without stepping into the aseptic area.
  • Whole Unit provided with positive pressure filtrated air and adjustable temperature and humidity.

Other important factors that contribute to the excellence of our center are:

  • The support of the central services from different specialties a
  • nd the high complexity equipment offered by the German Hospital.
